Re: Why it didn't work All Futaba servos come new with the tab on the plug to insure proper plug into any Futaba gyro or RX. If your 9256 did not have the tab, then I assume it was also purchased used and someone had removed it to use it in some other gyro that did not use the tabs. Of note to others who may buy a used 601 or 611. Out of the box, they come set for use with only super narrow pulse servos of 760 ms. If you try to use them with any servos that are just standard 1520ms pulsed units, you will find they will not work. Of course if you access the hidden menu as stated by Couger429 , then you can change the pulse selection to work with the standard slower pulse 1520 servos. That is one of the features you will find in the standard menu of any of the Futaba gyro sytems that followed, like the GY520 or GY701 or GY750. |

Re: Why it didn't work Hi Gary using a 9256 I think it is the one that comes with it. Was very frustrating as it was an expensive gyro and normally there is a spline on the plug stopping it from going in wrong way around. If it works as a gyro as well as it is easy to set up it will e worth it |

Re: Why it didn't work Glad you got it working. What servo are you running? There is a hidden menu on the 611 that gives you access to set for wide band servo use. |

Why it didn't work Ok I was setting up a gy 611 gyro the other day that came with a Heli I bought. When I say set up more like set my radio to it. A real nice gyro to work with. I hope, as Heli still needs test flown. So onto the next one. I had bought another GY 611 off of RCCanada awhile ago but never really had it ready to instal in a heli till this weekend. So I am trying to check out the direction of the servo Step 1 on how to setup this gyro asof the internet. No movement so whats up with this. I thought I had bought a dud but knowing of the seller I was sure it must be something else. Check all connections tried another servo still nothing. Now when I wired it up I followed the wiring in order of the wires placed in the amplifier by futaba . The wires are blk red white . the next wire in amp is blk red white,so when it came to plug in the servo I plugged it in blk red white. Well that seems to be my problem should have been white red black.none of the instructions or directions in the manual show which way it goes but just where. Changed it around and all is well |
