Yes that are VERY cool, I wonder what the definition of "extreme" power is though.... they offer a 4 blade 11" with a pitch adjustable to 15" ...... it would take a lot of power to spin that....... think you'd get away with an electric motor equavalent to a .60?

Yeah, upon reflection...... I highly doubt it.

Hey Raymac, where did you get the prop/hubs for that project?

I paid a little more than HK's price.....about $140.00 US delivered I think. At the time it as the only way to ensure I was getting the latest model.

Raymac, if I can ask, what did you pay for the retracts?

Re: hobby king electric retracts

I am using these for my 96" Buffalo.......you can see it here;

http://www.raysmodels.ca/BUFFALO%20B...20page%202.htm

The Buffalo is 8.5 lbs. and I am advised by the manufacturer that the electric retract unit is OK for up to 10lbs. The oleo legs, however are very small and weak looking so I replaced them with larger oleo struts from RC Warbirds in Singapore. I purchased the retracts model DSR2-46T (Titan model) direct from the EPF Hobby in Taiwan to make sure I got the latest model with metal gears and sides (they have undergone a lot of design changes). They look nice and work flawlessly. The HK prices are unbeatable if you can be sure you are getting the latest model. I still have the original oleos with dual wheels if anyone is interested.

Re: hobby king electric retracts

I have a set of electric retracts in the mail somewhere in between Hobby King and my home...

I though that for the price I would give it a try. Will see when it gets here.

any body tried useing these yet ? Unfortunatly they say 2.5 kg and the one set says 3 kg max, though a couple reviews on there are saying being used in a larger plane. The plane I wanna use em in is around 8 pounds, so closer to 4 kgs I guess.

So just curious...
