Here is link to a data base where you can look up different makes and models of servos. http://www.servodatabase.com/servos/all

Re: What's going on ailerons??

I went with the method of connecting 2 separate wires to the Rx and reversing the servo control on the Tx. It works inside the house but too cold to try it outside - will have to wait for Spring... I asked around when the winter will be over and I was reminded it hasn't even officially started yet... lol
Thank you ALL

Well, you have the channels for two aileron servos and the mixing.....

Find the use of two servos easier to setup. I have the spare channels to use and allows for simple tweaks for trim versus having to keep adjusting the linkages. Also allows for aileron differential etc. What radio are you using and how many channels do you have.

If you get stuck, I have a couple of Hitec HS-422 servos here you can have. They should just drop in to replace the unmatched pair you have now. This might be easier than swapping things around or modding.

If you go to one servo you just have one wire / lead connecting to the aileron channel of the receiver. No Y connectors, no issues.

Thanks to John for posting the single servo setup. This is the setup on lots of trainer aircraft and works just fine. By far this should be the easiest, one servo centred in the cutout slot in the wing with the long two sided servo arm, and pushrods connected on either side.

The only possible issue would be the servo and torque rating, if for some reason it had a really weak torque rating it could suffer blowback, but really most standard servos should be able to drive ailerons on a trainer. To me keeping it simple is the best solution.

Single servo will be one wire to the Rx.

I think we need a little more info on your set-up. How many channel receiver are you using? When you set up your transmitter for this new plane, did you select the dual servo option in the set-up page?

I use another brand of Tx/Rx but believe the basics are the same. If you are only using I aileron servo it would be plugged into the main Ail channel on the Rx. If you are using 2 servos you could use a "Y" harness and leave your Tx setting to the one servo choice, or, you could use the first Aux channel on your Rx. If you are using 2 channels on your Rx, as a rule the right servo is plugged into the main ail channel and the left servo would be plugged into the aux1 channel.

Just thinkin' out loud here, been where your at myself!!!!
