3D is post stalled flight, which includes hovering. It is not only hovering!

Anyways, as you wish!

Check out the take off!

When I can see a fullsize plane hanging on the prop 10 feet off the ground belching white smoke then I'll call that fullsize 3D flying, until then everything else is just standard aerobatics

3D is becoming scale flight! Better sharpen those skills if you want to be able to fly "scale" in the future!

Sorry, I've been saving this video for the next person to say "that's not scale" to 3D flying! Just jokin', fly whatever way makes you happy!

. Its great that people have the skills to do this with an airplane but its not what i like to see. I like just watching the plane fly past as scale like as possible, slow or fast but just flying. I like it when i can hear the wind whistling over the wings with the engine at idle, maybe my next project will be electric..

Re: 81" cub with 5" dubro inflatables?

Ronnie, its a gentle flyer.... I have the 3W-78ib2 and it spins a Mejzlik 26x8 at 6700 RPM. It doesn't have the vertical penetration that my aerobatic planes have but my intent was to have a plane that was a more casual flyer and this fits the bill

My idea of fun with this airplane is one wheel landings and holding it the full pass of the runway.

Some people have put engines as large as DLE-111 and hover them around.... I just don't see it with a Super Cub though.....

On my 1/4 scale cub ( 108" span) I am using what is considered the proper scale size of tires and they are Dubro Cub 4.250" tires & rims.

I love the tundra look, and as was stated the cub is such a floater it can handle the extra weight. My WM 1/3 scale Super Cub (142" WS) lands about 5 - 7 mph in a light wind with the flaps down.

Can't wait till spring so I can fly it again, I maidened it a week before Alberta got hit with snow and minus 20 weather......
