Let say you want to buy a 1 amp battery and it's available in all those C rating.... What that would mean is:

A 1 amp 20C battery can provide up to 20amps peak
A 1 amp 25C would provide 25amps peak
A 1 amp 30C would provide 30amps peak

All those batteries can provide 1 amp for one hour. If you use them on a higher load, they will provide more current, but for less time. Let say you use those batteries on a motor that would draw 10amps, they would all work, but only last 6 minutes (you draw 10 times more current, you deplete it 10 times faster).

Now, let say you want to use a motor that draw 22amps, then you could not use the first battery, but you could use the other two (though for a very short time!)

The other interesting C rating to watch on a battery is the charge rate. Until recently, you could only charge a battery at a 1C rate. That mean, you could only charge a 1amp battery at a maximum of 1amp. Recent batteries have a higher C rating for charging, so basically, you will find a new spec on them. They will say something like: They can be charged at 5C. So you could charge those 1 amp battery by setting your charger for a 5amp charge. This effectively cut the charging time a lot (you guess it, 5 times faster, though, in reality, there's other factors, but it's close enough!)

Re: Lipo Charger Help Needed

I stand corrected I have ordered the wrong Lipo I should have ordered a 1300mah 3c Lipo. But is too late to cancel now so someday I'll have something that can use this Lipo. I'm used to old school nicads and nmh batteries

The only thing to look out for with these cheaper chargers is that the voltage to the batteries is in fact what the readout is telling you. Use a voltage meter to confirm it's 12.60V when charged and not more.
Hmmm, beware of cheap voltage meters though... You need to use a recently calibrated decent meter. If you think you get any accuracy with a $20 multimeter, you're in trouble. Those come from the same place those cheap chargers are made. I would trust the charger before the cheap meter!!! At least, with the charger, they know they need dead-on accuracy around 4.2V per cells otherwise, they will quickly get very nasty emails and insurance claims.... With the cheap multimeters you buy everywhere, accuracy is not important and usually not a safety issue. They know most people do not know how to operated them properly, and most of the time they will be used for something like: Is there 120V on that power outlet? Yep... Could not care less if the reading is 112V or 132V.... It's there or it's not. We have checked a brand new one recently (with calibrated equipement) and on the amp mode, it was off by 19% (down to about 12% on some scales) and on volts it was pretty good at around -4% (Still, that would give a result close to 4V instead of 4.2V per cells...)

Best would be if someone who has one could comment on it. But without owning one, here's my 2 cents...

Price is really low, it's a clone from a more expensive charger (they are usually almost as good as the more expensive originals) , but sadly, there's only two reviews for it so far so hard to say.

From the review, power cord seem to be European. It does work on 120V but may be hard to find the N.A. power cord for it since it's not the usual PC power cord. It does also work with a external D.C. source (car battery), which is good. Both reviews mention the fact that it does come with Dean (T plug) connector and it's not shown in the picture.... Your 2S battery probably has the red JST plug (that one is shown in the picture, so that's good... At least if that's the type of connector you have on your battery!). If the battery you have ordered doesn't have a connector, don't forget to order some as well... Hobby King is a good place to order them. Discharge rate is not high, but for now, this is not something you should worry about (it's good to have a high discharge rate for those time where you go flying with tons of batteries, and may come back with a few fully charged ones, and want to put them in storage mode)

For a cheap charger, it would probably do the trick. Would definively be good if some review would confirm if it does balance well, but that's not the case. With no decent reviews, it's a bit of a lottery, but for this price, it's a lottery with good odds!!!

Seems okay, I have an Accucell 6 and love it, but it requires a 12v power supply.

I did notice that it does not come with all the common adapters for the batterys, the xt60 one is missing.
