Re: Flat top coat? great, did you test its ability to resist Glo Fuel? is that over a latex paint? |

Re: Flat top coat? I went to the LHS and they had some Tester's Dullcoat laquer spray. I tried it and its great, easy to use and made a really nice finish. Flattens out the finish perfectly, no streaking or discoloration. |

I agree with kip here, ive been using polyurethane on models since i was a kid when i would paint cox control line models with testors spray cans & needed to fuel proof them. my prefered brand is varathane comes in flat ,semigloss or highgloss my last couple of projects used HOME. hardware rust paint, all the funky colors,fuel proof & may be available in clears? Im sure everyone agrees when painting over different types of paints best to test on scrap first & see if fuel eats it. |
