Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Awesome! Thanks for this! Important things I will remember to check if mine or others' engines are having performance issues. Cheers |

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Basically the same on mine and I'd been seeing more and more black oily exhaust coming from what turned out to be the plugged side. |

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Mostly performance especially in vertical where it would just not be pulling. Brendan's was the same. He thought it was a dirty carb and did a rebuild on both with no change. Then I had the brilliant idea to feel for exhaust from the outlets at idle and there was none on one side😳 |

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Congrats on the clean up Lee. What were the symptoms of your motor when the cans plugged up? Performance and heat or were there other issues? Cheers Trev |

Slowly poured down pipes and submerged into the hot water where it will continue to froth up and bubble for a while producing big gobs of black ----! Let sit for an hour and shake from time to time and throw out somewhere (it will stain so not on your driveway unless it's gravel! Repeated until cleaned putting oxy in both ends as you go. Took me about four sessions. I didn't let sit in oxy overnight though as I worried about etching the aluminum. We threw in our headers too and they came out pretty clean too. Just make sure to use a heat gun and dry everything thoroughly so you don't get rust. |

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Lee... Do yourself a favour and get a set of the ProRc.ca Hype Cans (you will need a set of the Large). Amazing canisters and really let your engine breathe. They have a bit of a tuned pipe sound to them also which sounds really nice. Still quiet but a different tone. |

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee Can't believe it's been almost a year and a half since I changed the Pro to the 200 and after noticing that I ( and Brendan) were losing power, we checked the canisters and they were plugged. Interestingly mostly on the same side for both our planes! Anyway we cleaned them out using Oxyclean and they are cleaned out and ready to roar once again. I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy new KS 95 canisters in Canada? I'd like to get a spare. |
