Re: Video camera recommendations Hi Gary I have two Go-pro and float flying limited the choice to camera that have waterproof housing witch there basically two choices: Go-pro and Contour. Both have water proof housings but the Contour housing is sold separately. I chose the Go-pro because of this reason and also because the manufacture seems to be more geared to adapting to the customers need. exp: live view (FPY guy love this), external backpack display with waterproof housing door, Dual housing water proof for 3D video and good support with software update to improve operation and functionality. I just purchased the Dual 3D housing for myself and look fwd to adding the 3D video ability to my capability. http://gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories...FWkDQAoduDOplw Here’s a video I shot float flying this summer. My float plane at his that point was untested and it was my first float flight experience so we left the camera off for obvious reasons, although the CF flew the camera and at the end of the video I ditch her by accident. Too much confusion over positioning the boat to speed to do air to boat retrieval, had we complete it successfully it would have an awesome shot. Video camera recommendations I did some float flying this past summer and will soon be doing some ski flying and would like to be able to get some in flight videos. So I'm looking at some pointers at how to do this in terms of suggestions for the type of video camera and where to purchase, how and where on the a/c to mount it etc? I'll be using 40 size glow aircraft to fly. Any info would be much appreciated. Gary |
