Re: need a shopping list please I just put it out there as an option. Not a high end setup, as it is from Hobbyking of course. But also not the real crappy stuff you see out there either. I understand have to be wary of the very large high voltage turnigy motors for having magnets separate, but the G46 on 4S is not high volts, so there you go. I am putting Turnigy6S system on a 1/5 scale cub soon. At worst I might have a deadstick Also, my flying buddies find the Turnigy as less efficient than the Eflite motors, at least comparing Park480 to Park480 motors. |

Re: need a shopping list please Just found this electric setup guide on Hangar 9s product page for your plane: http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Rel...ectric%20Setup They recommend the motor/esc I linked to, and are saying a 4000mah lipo. You'll notice the E-Flite lipo is $100...I don't know who they suck in to buy their inferior lipos for twice the price. |

Or this: http://www.store.revolectrix.com/Pro...po-Black-Label If you search long enough you can probably find someone on one of the forums that has done an electric conversion on that plane. Would be nice to know what to expect in terms of power consumption and what not before you start buying batteries. |

Re: need a shopping list please I don't have a problem looking outside of Horizon if there is a better deal for lipos if you say I just didn't want to be buying everything from 3 different websites if you know what I mean |

Re: need a shopping list please Here's what you need if you're sticking to Horizon: .46 Size Motor 60 Amp ESC I'll let somebody else chime in as far as what size lipo to run but I suspect you'll want a 4s in the neighorhood of 5000 or 6000mah. I highly suggest you look outside of Horizon for your batteries though, Revolectrix seems to the best performance value right now. I guarantee the E-Flite/Parkzone batteries can't compare in terms of performance and will cost you twice as much +. |
