I just checked and the price is back to normal on the EG aircraft , but the Twist is still higher . I only use the Twist as a benchmark for price increases , as it is a fairly popular plane , and is a good indicator of increases across the board .

Re: Great Hobbies price increases

We noted the comments on this thread and just wanted to clarify the situation.

The EG line of aircraft did not have a price increase. We did our regular system wide price update and unfortunately the EG line of product was mistakenly reverted back to the original retail pricing in the process. This is a semi-automated process, but sometimes all doesn't go quite as planned, and with 85,000 different products in the system, it is impossible to immediately catch it if something goes awry.

Someone was kind enough to call us last night to bring it to our attention and the prices should be back to normal with the next hourly website update. Please, if you ever see something that looks out of line on the site, let us know directly so we can verify it. We do not arbitrarily swing prices on any product, ie raise it one week, only to put it on sale the next. Pricing for us is very constant and only changes when either there is a price change with the product or and exchange rate changes.

Thanks to the folks who let us know about the problem.

Lets not even get started on how gas goes up 2-4-6 cents a liter overnight......with no tanker trucks bringing in new fuel in sight..........talk about gouging.

I say lets go occupy the parking lots of the hobby shops! Why should they make so much $$ of us poor hobbyists?!!!!!

Cost of goods from China are continuously increasing. Thats in part due to the cost of raw materials needed by chinese manufacturing always going up.
That and the chinese manufacturers asking for money... ie: profit !!!!!

We only have ourselves to blame. North American business got greedy with wanting to make more money. How do you do that ????
Lower your costs. We went offshore to buy cheaper.
Its called capitalism.

Now these Chinese manufacturers have to buy their raw materials to make the products we want.
Where do they get those raw materials ??? A lot of it is from North America, but a lot is from other parts of the world.
And guess what. We keep raising our prices for the raw materials we sell.

Then... we taught their socialist economy all about capitalism.

We did it to ourselves............
Bingo!!, and worker are starting to get more than a $1 a day

BUT a 20% increase per unit, over night....... doesn't fly.

Not sure what is extra about the V.3 update, but it shouldn't apply to current models.

And that was exactly the reason they were supposed to lower the prices , to clear out old stock to make room for the newer versions . Maybe it was just a glitch and the prices were meant to be lowered .
