Re: Radian Owners Hmmm, some guys have all the luck John! I thought it was beer that caused the crash! LOL Glad to hear they have a handle on the mis-matched Tx/Rx. While I was waiting for the rain to soak in this AM, I added another task to what the Radian will be doing. I aded my Video camera and external lens to it. The Camera fits under the canopy, and the extra wire with switch runs the length of the boom. Only had to add a tick of weight to the HS to balance. Sorry for the poor pics! BTW it doesn't fly too badly. |

Re: Radian Owners Patience isn't my virtue, so I tried contacting Horizon via e-mail on their site, I got booted twice because of some line code error. I phoned and got put through to tech support as a dealer (not my doing). When I explained the issues I was having with the PNP plane, he offered me a replacement fuse, without even asking for the dud back. He was telling me about 2 fuses they have hanging in their department with issues like mine, said they flew well. My longest flight on a Radian (the predecessor to this plane) was only been 32 minutes, that would be like an eternity with this one. Thanks Horizon! |

Re: Radian Owners I think I have found a good replacement (Sunday Flier). The Radian will be kept up for a "get the cobwebs outta the head/hands". I have been looking for a 3 Meter quality e-glider. This one http://www.arthobby.com/index.php?pa...ry=32&item=286 should keep me happy for a while. I may even set up a fun fly sometime this summer. |

Re: Radian Owners BTW, I think I saw a couple 2m electrics for sale on RCGroups, will probably end up cheaper than a vendor and rx-ready... just a thought |

Re: Radian Owners I'm surprised at your bad luck with the Radian too, I've only seen a handful, but haven't heard many negative complaints about it yet until this. Hope you get it sorted out soon! |

Re: Radian Owners The quality seems to vary I have bought 2 RTFs, 1 PNP and a couple fuses (and NO I don't fly that badly, I'm unlucky). From what I've noticed, I believe that they are probably made in several different plants. Decal colors and dimples on the wings and fuse are inconsistent. I was told by the supplier to contact Horizon Hobby by myself, because the retailer wasn't getting anywhere with the concerns they were passing on. Sad, real sad! If I treated my customers in the tree biz that way, I would be out of business quick. BTW I call Horizon yesterday, and did the "call back" thing with customer support. NO call back yet! |
