Well a bit of cyclic will help if the machine is going to roll over as you spool up.

Introducing cyclic in a FBL heli with a 3 axis gyro during take off is not necessary, you can just get it up into a 3'-4' hover easily without cyclic and most companies recommend that's how you do it.

Not being too gentle just not flying the cyclic.

All helicopters be it models or full size require the pilot to make sure that liftoff is without sideways movement. Failure to do so can induce a dynamic rollover (Flopping on its side). We do this by flying the cyclic (roll and pitch) as soon as the collective (throttle and pitch) is raised to correct any sideways movement and fore/ aft for that matter. You do not need to jerk it off the ground but only smoothly lift off while correcting any drift with the cyclic. Admittedly the cyclic is more sensitive with the electronic flybar than the mechanical flybar. (On the ground)

The cyclic needs to be flown anytime the blades are producing lift. This is very important when taking off or landing on a sloped surface.

I actually brought in one of these from the OEM (HiSky 100 FBL 3D) ... it was decent and some of the parts compatible with the mCPx. It flew well enough, but the mCPx's AS3X gyro is much better IMHO.

My largest issue, was that it didn't support Spektrum/JR 2.4GHz protocols, or Futuba.

It does hover well and without a wind stays put pretty good too. I remember my 500 was much more stable in a hover and forward flight was very nice with that one. I miss the bigger helis because they are much easier to fly maybe down the road I'll get bigger but for now it is what I'll stick with.

With a proper set of C/F blades (there are good ones and bad ones for stability) and flybar paddles/weights etc., you should be able to make a TRex 450 stable enough that it would almost hover hands off for a few seconds if there is no wind.

And it is even easier with larger helis.

I've got this one too! I'm very happy with it, although if the Nano CPx were available at the time I probably would have gotten that.

I guess the big question is how long will it last.
What flybared heli are you referring to?

Any decent flybared heli, with good blades (wood or composite), should track in forward like it was on rails, and NOT need any "tiny adjustments" in order to keep it flying straight. Just ask any FAI flyer.
