Re: 100 volt 24s powered Heli! Totally agree. What it comes down to, electricity is not something to be taken lightly. |

Re: 100 volt 24s powered Heli! I have a diploma in Electronics, my old text books publish something a bit different - even if you do a search online, you will get varying answers. |

Regardless, no matter how you look at it, it doesn't take a whole lot to kill. |

Really, any level of current above 50mA can kill you depending on your physical condition and other biological factors. |

Re: 100 volt 24s powered Heli! That setup is actually not all that costly, they bastarsized a CC controller the rest is basic for most part. While it is neat it is unpractical, hard 3D and that heli would blow up. For all out speed and big sky as shown sure it's fine. |

Re: 100 volt 24s powered Heli! I don't see the point, or the need, nor the real gain. As an experiment to say that is can be done, it is great, past that, it is nothing but grandstanding. It is pretty much the same rpm as a 600kv motor at 12s or a 1200 at 6s. Headspeed reduction still happens, but not as much, as there is still lots of it audible in the video. Fancy sounding but now you burn up a lot of your new power raising the extra batteries so you gain a bit and then lose it right back (not a total loss, though). This is much like the dog chasing its tail. I wonder if they have crash tested it to see the survival factor of the battery pack. From the demo, if he hits the ground at speed, it will not be a smoking hole, it will be a flaming hole in the ground. To each their own. Take care. Don |

Re: 100 volt 24s powered Heli! It's the current that will get you, not the voltage. 100-200mA is the current range that is FATAL. Above that, and you'll get burned / nerve damage and breathing becomes very difficult or stops all together. Below that, you'll get a range of symptoms from discomfort and mild shock up to taser-like convulsions and loss of motor skills. |
