Re: 700 X Pro BLADE

Being able to remove the boom on a 700 is also very important for those that are transporting them to an event.

Re: 700 X Pro BLADE

The servo arms are the same for all servos. My own preference would be to stick with standard servo arms and ball links but once a helicopter is setup, there is seldom reason to worry about getting to both ends of the link rod. Usually access to one is all you need. It's not a big issue but the change-up to the tail servo back to standard arm and ball link makes the most sense for those that remove the boom like I do in a very small space to work on it. The ESC is a Castle Creations Edge 120HV.

Re: 700 X Pro BLADE

I saw the 700 fly a lot at IRCHA and it performed really well. The Horizon folks were putting on shows with it regularly and really wring it out.
One thing with Horizon, if you do run into a problem you know they will fix it.

I looked at the 600 tail again and my sense is that the pins in the slider were worn out. Picture attached - you can see the gap between slider and pin. I suspect this will be a fix shortly, different material maybe.

Does it use those clevis style ball links on the tail servo too? Would it be better to just put a regular ball link on there?

It is always crapshoot if you get it on the right spline or not. I have already suggested it to Horizon Helicopter support. Take care.

Have you had a chance to fly it at all yet? And what are some of the things you think could use improving?

The build is done and it goes together well. There are few things that can be improved on this heli and from a standpoint of a scale builder, the chassis will lend itself to some nice custom installs in the doghouses of many large helicopters. Here are the pics.
