Sweet! Let me know how many proxies before so I can do the math. Don't want a repeat of last year with no quorum. See ya.

Bring the completed Leader member nomination form to our Zone Meeting coming up on October 9th. We have a spot on the agenda for exactly this.
See you there.

I'd suggest that it would primarily be the actions of the person at a club or individual level that would make them stand out for recognition. That said, it is a recognition by MAAC of those qualities so it wouldn't be approproate (or appreciated probably) to award Leader Member status to someone who calls down the association every chance they get.

Does the person need to be a MAAC evangelist? I'd say no.

Re: MAAC Leader member

All of the above! Those that stick around long enough to support the hobby are supporting both club's and MAAC.

It's a message that seems to be getting lost, we belong to a Nation Wide Organization that supports what we do and in turn we support it. In many cases we wouldn't be able to do what we do without MAAC and MAAC is nothing without us!

If you have valued members in your club that help others or support MAAC or both, nominate them

Re: MAAC Leader member

He/she must be a member of MAAC for 10 consecutive years as a minimum. Other than that, you need to inform the ZD via the form as to why you have nominated the individual and you need the signatures of two Leader members to validate it. Also, make sure you submit two copies.

Good for you for even thinking about nominating someone, the Leader Members are a very important part of MAAC!

Re: MAAC Leader member

I downloaded the form but all the form says is "Qualifications for leader status". There is some confusion in our club about what those qualifications are.
