I will be flying a new Ultra Flash this coming season powered with my Kingtech 140.

Thanks. Thats why I made extra clearance for the flap to come down. Cut back the TE of the wing to clear the flap.

Reflex it is.....

I will do the reflex for the ailerons. Should it be for all flying or only landing? I will also do the leading edge tri stock.

As for the main tank, I have set it so it will pick up OK for regular flight but not inverted or Knife edge. A dubro would also have limitations depending on attitude so I stuck with the stock tank. I have added two saddle tanks.

Someone's got some speebrakes installed
Also the stock tank on the jl doesn't pick up that well so a Dubro 50 oz fits in there really well I think I sent you pics showing that.
I think I emailed you all the tricks to make it fly really well.

Gary,

Nice job fixin up that JL Toot esp those roundel.

For landing mode, put a little reflex up in the Ailerons or "crow" - just a bit like 1/8". Helps with the flying characteristics in the landing pattern.

Cheers,

Doing a little more work on the Tutor. Installed the extra tanks, engine, pipe, main tank, front tray and valves. Fixed the Roundells. The old ones looked more like a pot leaf than a Maple leaf. New Roundells thanks to Gwen Graphics. Also made a little cleance so I can get much more flap for landing.

Bill
Well I have had a little internet time this afternoon while Joe is napping.. we were at a Bday party for one of his 2 yr old friends and was pretty tired after that

I miss partaking in the model airplane stuff... but as some told me, when you start having kids time suddenly dries up. Moving the shop to Timmins also has meant more of my "free" time is now not free either. I havent had a chance to do any engine work in a long time.

That being said, I did have one of the KJ66 engines I was working on out of the box this afternoon, day dreaming of when I will get time to get her back into running condition and maybe even mounted in a jet and flying again!

I hope to see the jet boys this summer. I did pick up that nice little home made Boomer from John Wiebe last summer I cant wait to get flying if possible as well!
