Re: DX7 TX and AR6200 RX.

be careful when you are charging nickel metals at that kind of amps. You can cause the battery to false peak.

I had a couple of servos that would wander off center in the cold. Turned out to be the plastic bushing that sits under the output gear and on top of the potentiometer. It would shrink enough in the colder temperatures to move causing the servo to continuously go off center.
Changing a servo is cheaper than a plane.
I installed the new futs9202 ran it in my back yard..it also surged full throttle after 4 min of running and did it 5 time less than one min apartits a analog servo should it be a digital if the others are digital??.
Dont know whats up ill try a different receiver (AR7000) see if the servo still surges
then try a completely different brand of servo or system,JR or FUTABA

Try plugging in a 4 cell receiver battery fresh off the charger and you should be ok.
By the time you played around with everything and unplugged and replugged stuff the battery voltage probably came down slightly and settled. No more jitter.
I have a nice Hi torque /Hi speed Airtronics servo that won't work with a 5 cell receiver pack. Its a really nice servo, but it is older. Only works with a 4 cell receiver pack.
K...I have a 4.8 600 Mah Nicad that came with the Futaba Flight pack. ill try that. But i didn't think 600Mah would be enough too give me a day at the field with out having too take a Hour or so for re-charging. so i went with the 6v 2700mah NiMH.
Im using 7 3004's in my Cherokee and someone once said its better too Use 6V battery Packs.
Actually thinking back at it now, when the battery was charged i remember checking the Peak output Volts and it said 7.6,and was Pretty darn hot, even at 1.9A which form the TritionEQ instructions should do a 2700Mah in about 1.5hrs

i read and reread my manual and i thing i am not doing the "failsafe" binding correct...this is differant from binding to the Transmiter??? i have to put bind plug in the battery port turn on electronics Hold bind butrton on back of TX while turning it on with all sticks in safe positions...IE throttle down after it initilizes(binds) unplug the bind plug with out turning anything off....

is this correct ??? will this stop the servo from going to full throttle postion when turning on my plane?? and repalcing to throttle servo should stop it from serging while running?

Thanks
Wade
I have seen this with a brand new ar6110 & 7000. Plug in the battery and the servos would cycle. Called Spektrumrc & they told me flatly that for analog servos specifically cheaper servos, no name servos, even HXT servos were known to do this and there was no way around it.

When I tested it with all the JR digital servos that came with my DX7, the cycling issue did not occur.

Along with the issue I had above I also had a brand new servo that would just stop working, randomly. Thank god it was in a RC car and not a plane.
It was my steering servo. It was brand new, Hi end, digital, metal gear, the whole works.
The first time it stopped working was in a race going into the turn at the end of the straight away. You can guess what happened

At least it wasn't the elevator on a bigger plane at the bottom of a loop.

my new 50cc plane after several min of idle at the field did go full throttle and i had no choice but to take off.
i was thinking it was my servo not a binding problem??

and everything is fine until tonight i Charge my 6V 2700Mah at 1.8A on my tritonEQ for about hour and a half till it was fully charged,Battery was abit warm ... almost to warm for my liking,so i turned on the TX then RX and the servos Jittered for about 3-4 seconds,so i turned off the RX and TX. waited 10 seconds and the RX is Blinking again, the battery had a V reading of 6.9V and a reading of 2600Mah when Charged.
Is it Norm too wait till your battery Cools down before you fire up your TX/RX?
My first thoughts were that it was a Power Surge kinda deal, having the 2-3 of the servos Jitter like that, after a freshly charged Battery?

supercub1974 i may have too Swing out your way for a flight this Summer!!!

Re: DX7 TX and AR6200 RX.

I un-plugged the the 2 Aileron servos form my Y and re plugged them back in and powered on the TX and RX and re-bind it and it was fine.
Still not sure why i got those Jitters, the only thing i can think of is where the Batt was Freshly Charged and made some kind of Surge.
