I don't mind the cold too much, been doing some flying with gloves on. But, it's been with my little foamys that I can fly in the park. Short days and wind have become a problem though.

As for the bigger planes, it's been wet and/or snowy here and our field has a gravel/mud laneway with a short but steep incline at the entrance/exit. I don't think my car will get in or out too well with any snow at all.

I wouldn't fly my 35cc Slick anywhere but the field and I'd rather not fly my EF Edge at the park. Those are the only two planes I'd be inclined to use the Cortex in. I only bought it now because of the price.

Hopefully I get lots of use out of the Lemon stabilizer in my Crack Yak this winter. Ultimately, I'll probably get a couple more, one of them for permanent use in the Edge when I'm ready to move the Cortex into my big Slick.

Whatever I do with them, I'll try to provide lots of feedback. I certainly hope there is a noticeable difference between the two, given the price difference. If nothing else, at least I know the Cortex can be used in a gasser, I don't think the Lemon would get along with the vibration...pretty sure it's for electrics only.

I will definitely do a compare and contrast when I can...may not be till Spring now. I'd like to try them back to back, probably in a 48" EF Edge. Unfortunately I'm not a very accomplished 3D pilot...it would be nice if somebody more accomplished could do a comparison more so in regards to how much each of them interferes in the higher energy maneuvers.

Re: Bavarian Demon Cortex

ThunderboltRC just dropped their price to $349.19...I bit the bullet and ordered one. Using this morning's exchange rate it comes to about $20 more than Esprit, but there is no gamble on border fees. I also prefer to shop in Canada, this will be my first experience with Thunderbolt, but I hear good things.

If anyone else is interested, here's the link: http://www.thunderboltrc.com/index.p...oducts_id=1903

No worries . All things being equal, and equal is the operative word, I will always buy Canadian over other countries, but the bottom line is the amount of money that leaves my wallet; the less that amount is for the same or similar product, the better for me and my family.

Yes, shipping was by USPS, small parcel, International. Additionally, and I don't want to say this too loudly, Esprit's Customs declaration is very "generous." As mentioned in my recent previous post, the order that I last placed with them, came to me with no additional charges; duty, tax, brokerage fees etc. If that changes with this order, I loose , if not, I've won .
