Not sure about this info in upgrading to a business account come from.... maybe if you did hundreds ot thousands of EMT transactions per month. I don't pay anything on my account and no cost to receiving EMT thru RBC for me . Only cost is $1 for each sending money transaction. I have a bare bones checking account also so you would think they would target me first before someone with a high usage account that has all the bells and whistles.

Maybe time to change banks.

There are other terms also about pins and not as stated in other posts here....but....
...never mind. So much activity on this page I can't type properly on my old laptop. Hope the money is rolling in to the site!

Re: Still no PayPal :(

If all goes well, PayPal will be online tomorrow.

EMT: not supported due to the hours it could potentially take the MAAC employees. Each EMT has to be collected then the database updated etc etc.

Re: Still no PayPal :(

Have had to cancel my CC several times over the last several years and had no issues with the Bank cancelling the card , reversing the fraud and about a week or so to get another CC. They have been first class. As for EMT my bank charges me $1 for each EMT transfer sent.one heck of a lot cheaper than PP. don't pay any extra bank charges. Quit using PP last year when someone got me onto EMT.

Re: Still no PayPal :(

so going back to the main question; is MAAC ever thought of using EMT/paypal to accept payments?

Odd.
I can accept EMTs into my TD business account for no extra fees, and my monthly cost is well under $50 total. You might want to review your plan.

I'm not so sure about that, I only have personal accounts at this stage, (RBC and a local credit union) and I receive EMT's to both of those accounts with no extra charges incurred in any way. I would think MAAC has a business account at this stage anyway.

That said, on second thought, I have to agree with Steve, it would be cumbersome and time consuming to accept a large number of EMT's. I'm sure that MAAC pays thousands in merchant c/c fees (and Paypal when the start using it) every year but that can't be avoided I guess.
