Re: Ottawa Valley Jets 2017

I have to agree with the earlier comment about getting to meet & put faces to screen names here. I really look forward to meeting everyone but sometimes I'm out on the flight line most of the day doing my best to get everyone a few photos to remember the event down the road of time. With that said I've finished the album & this is the link. (I still need to do a proper album for the Phelan Flyers part of the event).

Re: Ottawa Valley Jets 2017

Wow!

I think we really pull it off good this year! I want to thank my Partners Brent Norman and Jeff Daly and all the volunteers who pitched in on Saturday - Its a ton of work to set up and tear down in just one day. I know Brent went beyond what is expected from anyone and is always the last man there when everyone else is going home. Thanks Brent

I want to thank my good buddy Larry Ingram worlds best aviation photographer who documents all our fun in such amazing photo's Larry this year had a photographer from the local Ottawa Citizen/Sun News Paper with him on the flight line so can't wait to see how that turns out.

I want to thank Bill & Teresa Wagstaff who lent us the sound system was exactly what we needed for this event. Both Bill and Teresa were a big help going all around doing the 50/50 draw. Again Great to have friends like Bill & Teresa

The real good news is the Carp Airport Management had a positive day working the gate and the lunch time food in which all moneys going back to the Carp area local charities

I really want to thank those pilots who joined us from AFAR!!!! and travelled many hours to join us. Honestly its greatly appreciated and it brought the level of the event to the next level and the audience got a good eyeful of amazing flying and entertainment.

I want to really thank Mike Anderson and Phalan RC club who hosted 2 day of Jet-Days
Thursday and Friday of this week to work with us in getting 3-Days of flying - again a big part in making Ottawa an attraction to jet pilots from near and afar. Technically works great as a real warm-up.

Most of all I want to thank my wife Deborah who ran the Silent Auction & the registration table. Both Deborah and I aren't spring chickens and its a very tiring day for the both of us. Today is Sunday and we both having a quiet day of rest.

Cheers

Re: Ottawa Valley Jets 2017

So glad the weather cooperated today, I'd like to thank Ken and all others that helped to put on thus even. Is also like to thank the Phelan RC club for hosting the two previous days. Even though I didn't get a chance to fly this year (again...lol) it was a great event and I'm already planning for next year! Third time is the charm!
