If your FrSky Rx is showing a slow flashing red light... your in a lock out condition.. and only powering off the Rx will reset it again..

I had also posted this alert over on RCG... and the thread has suddenly come to life again.. seems I am not the only one to have had this problem and FrSky is now aware of it.. I have an inside tip from a tester with a beta FW for the Rx.. that it is in the process of being fixed..

It seems that in one case it was caused by high RF generated from an ESC at full throttle..

There is also Amber 2.2 for Horus.

Yeah, internal bind is rediculous.
Ok so your spelling is as bad as mine... but that aside...

I pretty much got the widget thing figured out.. And I got the gps working.. had to take it for a drive in the truck... seems it takes a long time to aquire the sat's.. compared to the gps sensors you can buy which take about 30 sec's the horus takes about 2 min's or so.. the gps sensors can aquire in my shop where the horus will not..

I downloaded the SD card files for the horus but her voice does not sound like Amber.. got a link to her.. I can't find it..

So what is this T9 bracket thing... post some pics..

BTW... I sold my back up taranis... and still have my main.. which will move down to my backup.. I never go without having a backup.. I might sell the back up later and buy another horus for a backup

Just a little disappointed that the wireless trainer will only connect to another horus... but seems they are using bluetooth for the wireless which explains why..

BUT that has nothing to do with your Horus not connecting to your windows computer. The bootloader kernel is the same, the storage is the same. Don't compare the pre-prod's like the one I have to the production units. There are huge differences between them.
In most cases I would agree... but when I see external structural changes.. it raises red flags.. it generally means that internal changes have required the need to change external.. and some wheres I have read the disclaimer that Frsky reserves the right to make changes without notification.. that is the scary part.. they could use a different processor and from the outside you would never know..

But either way I got the OpenTx on it now.. and so glad to get rid of that stupid Horus voice.. particularly that " bind " .. speaking of which .. doing some range checks.. found little if any difference in external to internal antenna.. since Companion is not yet fully functional yet.. been trying to learn all the setups.. not hard to get lost in there... push button long or short ... holly crap... like learning my first taranis all over again..

figured out most of it.. sorta.. have not yet figured out how to turn on the internal GPS though...

Ever since I held the proto type in my hands at toledo I wanted one.. that one had a touch screen and they have since dropped that function.. no big loss as far as I am concerned.. finger prints all over the screen..

I have read alot about people saying they don't like the width of it because of reaching the sticks.. hockey pucks you idiots.. the verniers don't lie.. from the edge to the center of the sticks is the same as the taranis.. the weight gives it a nice feel.. a bit heavy but not unbearable.. the quality neck strap can fix that .. except for the guy on you tube who couldn't figure that one out.. and yes , his parents where brother and sister..

Love the screen display.. once I get it configured to display important info like Tx voltage Rx voltage Rssi and any other important info to a preflight check.. then you need only glance at the screen .. do your preflight and go fly.. One of the biggest advantages to the frsky is the Rssi... never stops range checking ... a very nice feature that saved one of my aircraft once..

The horus once loaded with opentx gets a big 4.99 stars.. the only down side to this thing is the battery.. takes to long to charge... and in the short time I have been using it.. I have had to charge it twice.. My taranis.. with a lipo would only need to be charged twice a season.. I personally will be looking for a lipo upgrade for it.. and then it will have a 5++ star..

Omg os2 warp

Hahahha

Nothing has changed
Hahaha but for me I do keep a separate user profIle on win 10 just for Opentx. I also have another profile for the ecu on my racecar ( autronic ecu ) to tune it.

1) Go to control panel
2) go to users
3) create a new user and call it TX Admin or something that works for you
4) Download a fresh copy of Companion 2.2 N359 and install it in that profile
5) Connect your Horus (Turned off) and download the latest Zadig tool set
6) Click on the Zadig tool and see if it identifies your new STM32 Device
7) If not, then click on the Zadig option, show all, then select STM Device and click install

Reboot your computer and login to the profile (user)

Your TX will now connect to Companion.

Hope this helps.

Other than that, follow what Websolution told you to do in RCgroups.

If you want me to update your Horus, I work in Mississauga, it takes about 15 minutes to do so.

Just put this hard drive back online.. and interesting development.. I took a new hard drive... and SSD at that.. and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on it.. nothing else !!!!! and kinda like the above instructions I quess... new user .. but anyway... companion 2.2 fresh download.. all new installs and guess what...

companion will not run.. needs a dll file from visual c++ 2015... ok so fine.. go to get it.. computer tells me that this update does not apply to my computer.. ???? go figure.. ok

so after tring this stunt on two different computers and new installs each time .. I finally gave up and came back to this one.. decided to give it one more shot.. plugged in the horus.. " off " and zadig came up and said ,, oh yea you want this stm loader.. here ya go.. installed.. companion 2.2 which for what ever reason will run on this drive.. booted up and uploaded opentx to the horus..

Ok ... SO WHAT THE ???? CHANGED..

beats the hell out of me...

Wish the hell we still had OS2 Warp... way better system..
