A few pictures!!...

It definitely needs the pin-stripe upgrade and perhaps a few decals.

My initial findings vs my Pilot Edge... I've only got 8 flights on the Yak, so this is all subject to change, LOL!!

PROS:
* Motor - one of the nicest motors I've owned!!
* High speed flight - more stable
* High alpha knife edge is better - doesn't snap out
* Elevator authority is better than the stock Edge.

CONS:
* My Edge is 15.2lbs. This Yak is 16.8lbs (0.4lbs is due to the 3W vs DLE). The thicker wings and (what looks like) a bit more wing area carries that extra weight really well, but I'd give the lightness feel to the Edge
* Wing rock (however I need to get my CG back, so perhaps unfair!)
* Doesn't feel as much a hardcore, snappy 3D plane (at least now - we'll see once CG is correct)

I maidened the Yak today

Still a few CG / trimming issues to sort out - you'll see in the video the wing rock - I need to get my CG back a bit since it was still nose heavy!!

The 3W55xiCS... insane! Smooth, beautiful sounding and ballistic power . My favorite prop was the Biela 24x8CF, but contributed to the CG issues!!

Thanks Trevor and Brad for replying. I was concerned about strength but I think I have over reacted in that area. You have basically confirmed my own thinking which is good. . . Will leave good enough alone! All the best - John M.

For sure try it.

I would like to know if it is enough. If it is, great.

Ooops!! I have a 450oz-in Futaba on the rudder of the 50cc Pilot Edge, but thought that the Sav1256 (likely 300oz-in at 6.6V) would be enough - maybe I need more!!

Guess that means I may soon have a reason to buy another servo, LOL!!!

I'll try it as is and see - I really want to maiden it this weekend!!
