I have to repeat OPRN's sentiment. Thank you everyone that came, sounds as though some of us are going to fly on Good Friday too, not sure exactly when but I imagine it'll be start in the afternoon.

Thanks to all who came to share our day!

Weather was quite manageable with very light North breeze, low ragged grey clouds, no sun but surprisingly - some usable thermal activity! Gained 2 or 300 ft. with the old timer twice & lots of weaker "altitude maintaining" lift too!

Lots of good powered flying happened too!

Great roasts & beans Russ & thanks to the wife for the homemade buns & potato salad!

We're gonna' do it agin' soon!

Brent, "build it and they will come"

We need to publicly acknowledge "full throttle Al" for clearing the roadway into the club. Without that, it would've been a long crappy walk in.

Thoughts are with Ken K - hope your finger heals well.

Great time! I realize Mervin contributes a lot in Coronation, But without Russ' this would never have taken place. Smoking a number of roast for the main course, home made beans, plus contributions from others.
Guests travelling from 3 1/2 hrs each way. I'm sure clubs, and thier events like this will always draw good company such as were there yesturday.

Brent you may be the only one locally in your club, but you are a valued member of the Big club of likeminded modellers, and pilots.

Want to take this space to thank Russ, Merv and all the others that made this event happen. Mother Nature wasn't too beastly, learned a lot, ate very well, and most importantly, got connected with old friends and new ones too.

Allard field can be a scary place for a newbie. The pond behind the parking area, and the bovine protection device are present, but didn't claim a single bird yesterday. The gophers there are bold little buggers, I bet if one got wacked on the runway the PETA people would have had issues!

Thanks for hosting the event, lets do it again! When I figure out the slope soaring thing, I might have to have something down here. Sad that I am a club of one!!!!

We're going to have a firepit through the day to try and keep everyone warm.

Please wear appropriate footwear as there are still wet spots.

Parking will be at the top of the hill BEFORE the clubhouse.

It's time for me to go get some firewood, smoke a couple of roasts and find some wieines!
I've been watching this thread and pulling for you guys to have a nice weekend for flying, but old man winter just doesn't want to let go of his death grip just yet.

We got a couple cms of snow overnight also. There still maybe some more to come, but it is all starting to melt again. Geesh, just as my yard was starting to dry up!

Oh well, standing around a firepit shooting the breeze and having a few pops is not all that bad either. Hopefully the weather gives you guys a break so you can get a few flights in!
