Rabbit Lake Float Fly started a little early this year Big Drama in Kenora in the days leading up to the Kenora Fun Fly this weekend, a brush fire broke out right inside the town of Kenora, forcing the MNR to send two water bombers from Dryden to combat the blaze. The 415's were picking up water on Rabbit Lake, the venue the Lake of the Woods Aeromodelers use to host thier float fly every June, and the fire itself, was only a few hunded meters from my sisters house. The fire was contained and put out but not without a few scary moments to the people living in the area. The good news for us is, both my sister and our zone director are pretty handy with a camera and have some pretty high end equipment and took some great pics of the MNR's CL415's at work.
