I am going to have to say ; if I may; that I think the 4 degrees of the wing to the top of the floats is too much and would think that 2 degrees is plenty. easiest is set the float top horizontal and then using the robart incidence meter dial in 2 degrees positive. My reasoning being , is that when you are up on step and the floats are horizontal ;the wing at +4 degrees is already in the aircraft position to rotate. Then to further add more positive to break the floats free from the water you will have to add another couple of degrees making a total of +6 degrees or more and with the all up weight a resulting stall or very difficult to get off the water due to surface water adhesion. With this big sucker and the weight it becomes much more critical.

just have not pulled front gear doors yet. main gear bay is open and should not cause a problem on taxi and take off as it behind the step

Sorry for late reply, I just moved to another city therefore I wasn't able to reply right away.

Since you don't have any gear bay doors, wouldn't these open pockets cause performance issues while taxing and getting on the step for take off run.....just curious...

Wow that's a lot of servos in each float but then that's what needed to make them fully functional!

What servos did you chose for rest of your model.

there are 6 servos in each float. water rudder retract, water rudder steering, gear retract, brake, nose gera steering, and nose gear doors with a total of 25 servos in model. lol.

i am not sure as dont have weight of tail and main gear.
