Totally agree

The hobby is different things to different people. Endlessly tinkering with the Tx and it's programming is what some like to do. I like to fly, and this Tx gets the owner and his plane up and flyin' in short order. Could it be better, sure! Does it perform as designed? Yup!
Like!!

I've had my DX8 for 2 years - no issues. Like the radio just wish they would upgrade the software to work with as3x telemetry so I could adjust gains in flight.

Sold mine to a flying buddy when I updated to the DX9 for more advanced electronics and more goodies to play with.
I bought the 8 when they first came out and never had a problem. If there were, I would never sell it to a flying buddy. He's still using it with no problems.

That being said, they still work great.

Quite a few reports of the issues that did happen popped up because guess why, there were thousands upon thousands sold.

That's for sure a factor. Either people that just like to complain are on-line bashing or people with a genuine issue are on-line looking for a solution. You don't hear from a lot of the "Happy Customers"

You should get lots of miles out of that radio and if you do outgrow it the latest Spektrum Airware is offering more than ever and with Telemetry Buss Code released to the public now, there will be even more choices and options for telemetry devices.
