They stick out the side of the fuse, but I prefer that to my nose, eye or ear ending up missing...... They work well and just to be sure, I remove the deans and use my EC3 or EC5 connectors.

+1. I like the EC5 on anything over 60A. Deans are only rated to 60A cont. The 5mm bullets have more contact surface and the jacket helps with spark suppression. Have you seen the arc 41v generates?!! Glad I got some protection for my fingers when I put the plug into my 10s Byron Cap.

Thanks,

Grizak
I use these in my 2 bigger planes (Pilot-RC 73" Yak and 73" SBACH - both converted to electric with 10S).
They work great, easy install and cost about $15 CAD (plus shipping).
Very good safety device both on the field and on the workbench.

Re: Arming switch

Not sure if this is a viable option, but you could just install a switch in the throttle signal wire between the RX and ESC. Most ESC's will not run without a signal. I suppose there could always be interference though.

Buy this http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...85A_w/_5A_SBEC
Advantage is the switch is not in your main power supply line.
Switching rate is a bit low but it runs my 50-55 580KV just fine set @ high.

Re: Arming switch

What would you use a FET?
Any ideas as to how to switch it?

Re: Arming switch

For something less obtrusive, a solid state relay would permit a more discrete switch.

Something I'm thinking of for my next scale project....

Re: Arming switch

I do know what has to be done electrically, the problem I have is the mechanical mounting of the connector to the fuse side. There have been several good ideas presented. I will dig through my junk box and see what I can come up with. I especially like the picture that Grizak posted. If I am successfull I may be able to post a picture or two.
Thanks all.
