Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification Hi, Hitechflyer Thanks for the info. It looks like about .75" in the picture for the servo arms which is 19mm and you used the original links from the servo arm to the swash. I have the Align flybarless head installed already. How does it fly ? Thanks again, Ken |

Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification Here are some measurements. the swash push rods are the original size they are on a bit of an angel but it works just fine. |

Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification I have done this with my FB equip'd 600e as well, I have frame mounted the tail-rotor servo. This did require flipping the tail case. |

Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification You mean to tell me that if I go direct to swash instead of using the bell crank system it will actually allow my to make more use of my full servo travel? I better let you guys know that I have my settings dumbed right down for very slow sport flying I couldn't fly 3D with the way I have my settings ( I can't fly 3D anyway). |

Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification Hi, I have a TRex 600e CF on the bench trying to figure out the direct to swash setup. I have it on VBar FBL system, Align Flybarless head. I wanted to know if this will work and fly good. I was just about to give up on the direct to swash and go to the original setup but change the servo wheeels to the Quick UK so I could get the balls closer together. I tried the Align metal servo wheels first but could not get the VBar setup correct. I have the Mikado or Align TRex 550 servo arms but I wasn't sure I could get enough servo arm movement or travel. I was going to mount the front servos direct to the frame without the rubber dampers to get them closer together and make the links line up at less of an angle. What is the distance from your servo shaft center to the ball link center ? Does this give you enough pitch or servo arm travel ? What link length did you use from the servo to the swash plate, did you use the stock links and lenghths ? Help would be appeciated. Thanks Ken |

Re: T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification I'm an average flyer when it comes to helis but I have flown this one a lot and the differance is like night and day. When I got my T Rex 700e flybarless I diden't fly it any more. Now it is like my 700. maybe even better because it is much lighter. 6 cells instead of 12 cells. But the size of the 700 is nice. |

T-Rex 600 E Flybarless Modification Looking at my 700 flybarless heli it looked like it wouldn't be to much trouble to modify it to flybarless. And what the heck might as well make the servos direct to swash. It nocked off 5.5 oz's a lot less drag flys way better and less parts to bend. Had to drill and tap the slider unit and lock it at the top, drill the threaded ball link holes to fit the little brass bushings that the plastic connecting arms join. and make two custom made push rods to join the blade grips to the swash. |
