Re: Reconfigure EFlite Apprentice S15e receiver I called HH and they assured me that the original setup on the apprentice S is fully digital. By using an analog servo is very risky because an analog servo is not meant to work at the high refreshment rate of the receiver and it's possible the analog servo will eventually burnout. Just a word of caution. |

Re: Reconfigure EFlite Apprentice S15e receiver You do not NEED digital servos in this plane . The stock EFLR7150 servo right beside the elevator servo is just an analog version . |

Re: Reconfigure EFlite Apprentice S15e receiver When I was checking out my new Apprentice I noticed the elevator servo buzzed/chattered constantly. After reading on RCgroups how many problems people had experienced with the stock servo I removed it and installed a Hitec HS82MG. Fast and easy improvement. Problem solved. The Apprentice is not an inexpensive plane and new owners should not have to replace garbage components. |

Re: Reconfigure EFlite Apprentice S15e receiver PROBLEM: When I wiggled the elevator back and forth and then let go of the stick, the servo continued to wiggle back and forth for a couple of seconds before stopping. So this is a bad servo that was for sure not centering anymore. SOLUTION: I replaced the EFLR7155 servo that was faulty with a digital servo such as the HITECH HS-425BB. The centering problem is completely gone now. The E-Flite apprentice now goes full speed through the air like an arrow perfectly. See attached images of before and after fix. |

Re: Reconfigure EFlite Apprentice S15e receiver Same here. Tried it in both intermediate and expert modes I get a flutter at high throttle or when flying head on into the wind. Even with stiffening the fuse there is still some there. Im going to look into replacing the servo as well. |
