I've had a good chat with my ZD about the AGM and there was some good stuff that moved forward and some new ideas that took some root.

...... talks highly of Mr Klent and Mr Eagan and that says volumes in my book.

Thanks for your good work.

Cheers

Wilf, the history of MAAC is long and envolved! All of the events that MAAC has overcome are worthwhile if the future benefits from it. The guidance we received at this past AGM will be supported for many years.

That's one positive thing.

Apparently the supposed life membership is a non-issue. I've been under the impression that such was an automatic recognition to a retiring President for services rendered but apparently this isn't so; it has to be approved by MAAC officers. I've had sort of 3rd-hand information that the matter was not raised this year as the previous President did not complete his full term.

Re: MAAC President Resigns

Seems like with MAAC there are six sides to everything. Anyway if its back to business spending as little as possible and accomplishing as much as possible in relative harmony, then I am in.
Good point about doers versus decision making. Exactly right.

Re: MAAC President Resigns

Past President no longer has a vote, the resolution was accepted. A third member at large will be voted on in the future.

Keep in mind, the Executive Committee members are the do'ers not the decision makers!

Another case of "keep quiet, maybe it will go away"?
