Re: where did everyone go

There was a lot more involved than just a change of seasons.

Take a look at this poll:

This was really one of the determining factors in closing down the site and migrating it to RCCanada.

RCC is just a nicer forum to be around. Offroad was tainted by some very unhappy offroad rc'rs. In fact, many of them tried the same crap on ------------- but they were banned. When it didn't work on London they went over to the next forum. In the end its the same circle of friends getting banned.

EDIT: to add to that. After all was said in done even a race series pulled out of supporting ------------- because of politics only to have the guy who pulled them out quit managing the series. But the damage was done.

Re: where did everyone go

I remember a dip in offroad posts before: about the same time last year.

It's winter. In Canada.

Many bashers are taking the season off, and the outdoor tracks are closed. If you don't see an upswing when summer rolls back around then you have something to talk about

You can easily disable the sections you don't want to see. The directory structure and the content is the same from ORRC.

Heres how to hide the sections

Its too bad offroad r/c was a good forum although it went thru a massive changeover 4 or 5 years ago when some left or took their balll and went home.
The base that grew the off road site has not had the enthusiasm for this site which is too bad but I do understand it. all of a sudden theres new policies, new admins, new adverts, and most have just disappeared. I myself no longer find useful info on here as there is no one to ask the questions to.
good thing i know it ALL !!! lol

Just sayin'

You learn in life you can't please everyone. After a while you stop trying especially if the outspoken people are nothing but negative. ORRC was fueled by negative energy within the community with shops and tracks with agendas. The very same people who criticized are the same people who had no interest in making the site better.

Sadly, I got a lot of supportive feedback about closing the site. Many said it was long overdue.

Try www.------------- , most of the racers went there because they find RCC just too big.

Thanks for the feedback.

Re: where did everyone go

These sites are usually what the members make them. Admittedly, RCC is pretty air focused but I think rick was hopping to bring some more ground input to the site with ORRC but that was up to the members to do.

I usually find change is not good or bad, it's what it is AND what you make of it. What is life without change? Pretty boring....
