Re: looking towards the indoor season...

flew the 250 some more today.. flies really well. It is hard to keep it stationary in one spot - will be good for precise hover practice.

Hey all
Does anyone have experience with the micro Wakeras like the 4g6s?
I just got mine but haven't had much opportunity to wring her out! It hovers pretty nicely in my basement but I have been too chicken to try much more!

Really am thinking of getting one 250 for my winter flying also. Might go FBL at the same time with it (to make it more stable).
I dint know, I must have hit it on something. I was flying a plane right after the initial heli flight - and when I bent over to pick up my foamy plane the switch fell onto the gym floor. Sheared right off at the base.

Ron, the video is very tiny, and just me hovering around but yes its viewable, thanks.

The Trex 250 is pretty stable IMO. I have it set up full rates, and 40% expo. It is a littler slower to respond to cyclic - a hesitation to start moving and to stop so you have to anticipate and fly a half second ahead of the airframe. It can get moving pretty quickly though. I think it will take me a few flights to adjust the throttle & pitch curves to my liking but the basic settings in the manual are close enough to get started.

AFter I adjusted one of the main blade pushrods one turn, my tracking was bang on and the heli vibration free. Its pretty smooth for sure.

Re: looking towards the indoor season...

Well, I mananged to use up one of the 4 battery packs I had today. The 250 flies OK, got it trimmed out pretty decently and its running smoothly.

However, after my 1st flight, I broke the throttle hold switch clean of of my 12X transmitter, and it was stuck on "hold", and I couldnt get it of of the hold setting. So, I didnt fly again. Now that I think of it I could have reassigned the TH to a different switch.. oh well, I will get the switch fixed and fly her next Saturday.
