Re: Help Please-DLE111 Electronics Hookup

I've gone one step farther and installed an IBEC, regulates ignition power to 5.2v from the Rx batteries and also provides an optical ignition kill. Saves weight by not needing an igition battery. I typically use twin 2300mah A123 packs on my gassers for Rx power so the extra drain to the ignition is minimal.

Look into a diode to reduce the voltage on the older ignition. The failure rate is much less then a reg.

What brand of ignition came with your DLE 111 that allows 8.4 volts?

Great!!! Thanks very much Dale!!! Really appreciate the help! Going without the regulator on the DLE111 and putting it on the DLE55.

Battery, then external switch, then electronic kill switch, then the load. Which is the regulator/ignition.
Hope this helps.

Re: Help Please-DLE111 Electronics Hookup

Thanks very much guys! However, if the ignition was an older one, how would the regulator and kill switch be hooked up? I am considering changing my DLE55 ignition battery to an A123 and will need the regulator.
