Forget the telebee gyro- it wont work that well on a 30 size heli.

get yourself one of these for 15 bucks- it works as well as the GY401

Like others have mentioned here, you dont need to plug in the gain channel of the gyro, it will default to Heading Hold. Without the gain setting you need to set the travel adjustment on the rudder channel.

Re: Gyro for Shuttle ZX with 5 channels?

I was looking at the futaba 401, but it does not seem to have a pot to set the Gain, I only see Delay and Limit trimmer. The futaba 240 seems like it could work, as i see it has a pot for Gain control. What about a something like the telebee gyro, would this work for a 30 size nitro?

Many modern gyros will work, only you will have to adjust the gains manually (usually with a pot on the case of the gyro) and select the mode you want to fly in (HH or Yaw rate) with a dip switch that is usually located somewhere on the gyro.

The Futaba GY240 and 401 are good examples.

Gyro for Shuttle ZX with 5 channels?

Hi guys, I have a Shuttle ZX that needs a newer gyro. I have a JR Max 5 channel Heli radio, very old! Does anyone know of a gyro which I can use that would work with only 5 channels, since I dont think I would be able to adjust the gyro on the Tx? The previous gyro was a mechanical one. I'm only looking to get back into hovering and some forward flight.
Any advice would help. Thanks.
