Hi Guys,

Here's a shot of the rudder and elevator up to the 'pink' stage using stits.

The other one is of my hand............a tad cumbersome for this type of work ! hahaha

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the note, I covered the tail feathers, did some tweaking on the wing to fuse fit then had surgery on my left hand so I'm one handed for awhile now......puts a damper on the whole shooting match !! HAHAHA

Re: CG Super Chipmunk build

Started to cover the tail feathers this eve. I'm using Koverall with the Stits process. I have a bunch of left over stuff from my full size aircraft maintenance/restoration days. I enjoy covering and this is just on a smaller scale........a little aromatic but that's ok.

Re: CG Super Chipmunk build

Here's a shot of it with the big pieces set in place. Haven't had as much time to build models as I'd like.............gonna have to change that !!

ONWARD .............and eventually, UPWARD !!

Re: CG Super Chipmunk build

Haven't given up on the build, just had to go do a bit of work. Hopefully that nonsense is over !!
Started to get back at it today but had one of those days where nothing was going right.................kept breaking things. Try again tomorrow.

Re: CG Super Chipmunk build

Ernie,

Chipper is look'n good! I built one many many years ago, and was actually my first RC build. Was a beauty and was afraid to fly it as had little experience at the time. She sat as a hangar queen for a couple years until I built up the courage to fly it. What a wonderful plane. Mine had an OS91 FS, and it was a perfect match. Flew for many years but lost it in a mid-air collision. Promised myself I would build another one for sure. Got one last year partially built, so will have to finish it off one of these day. May upgrade the powerplant to an OS110....will see. The old .91 is still available, but may go into a different plane. Not sure if you are putting flaps on it, but would recommend! Don't need them for landing, but sure make aerobatics fun! Had a lot of fun with that plane.

Good luck with the build!
