Re: Venerable K & B 61 - I have several of these. They are an older design "loop scavenge" engine. I always add 141ml of Sig castor oil per gallon to bring the oil content to 20%. That failure is caused by lack of oil. |

Re: Venerable K & B 61 - Ken, you're a lifesaver and I do think the 'ol K&B will think so too. PM on it's way. |

Venerable K & B 61 - Hi all, I'm posting this here for some helpful comments, suggestions or solutions? Rather old UGLY STIK flying along, open throttle, engine begins to open up then BANG! Dead-stik! I haven't seen the bits but my brother says the web has broken off just below the crank pin. No pix at this time, sorry. We're looking for an old used K & B 61 or just the crank, as they don't seem to wear at all. New part# is 17-6101 and old part# 6555. He can't get this sort of thing where he is located. Can anybody help with any useful suggestions, ideas or leads? I'm also posting these requirements under 'Wanted - Engines' Thanks. |
