BUMMER! Hope that you're feeling better by tomorrow so you can at least enjoy one day of the weekend.

Did get some free time today so I could try programming the ESC. Two kicks at the cat and the second time everything seemed to weork right.

Got the WattMeter out and checked everything on the side patio -- got 36 amps and 670 watts on the APC 22x5.5 prop with 5 cells.

Took everything downstairs and put it all away for now, then went and dug out my soldering rig and fixed the 5s pack that had a wire come unglued (bad solder joint).

Now catching up on RCC, RCG and a pile of other sites, while some Hallmark Hof remance plays on the TV for my wife. Think this is the third time that I've sat through it.....

Rest up, don't work on anything but getting better, and milk being sick for all your worth....

Yeah... two nasty diseases... one awefull outcome - nothing left to drink.

My kids do that to me - "Daddy, which would you rather.... <horrible/impossible option A> or <horrible/impossible option B> ?" I sometimes walk away .

Bummer about your week. For what it's worth, I'm ending on a sick note... all three girls got it... now it's my turn . Hope it's gone soon. Have to be in Mississauga on Monday morning.

Hope you enjoy your weekend... if you remember where you put it.

One of my cyberbuddies posed the question: which disease would you rather have Alzheimer's or Parkinson's? It comes down to which you prefer: shaking a glass of your favourite beverage or not knowing that you've misplaced the whole bottle.....

There are days when that question really comes home to roost.

This has been one of those weeks at work, and probably won't finish for at least anothe fortnight. Plays merry-old-heck with having time to work on the planes.

You might be thinking of Art Linkletter's program (kids say the darnest things or simething like that). My favourite part of Ed's regular sports was |Senior Wences (talking hand) and Topo Gigio (mouse puppet). I sort of remember watching the Beatles in their first American tour.

The PBS program was quite interesting -- price for the DVD version isw $150, a bit steep but we usually send them a cheque every year or so.

Yup... that'll do it

Scary... I'm old enough to remember watching the Ed Sullivan Show ... well, okay, thay may have been reruns, but for me they were all new . I think it was he who did it, but I liked the ones where he'd ask little kids a question like, "What's world peace?" and get all kinds of fun and innocent answers.

Re: Motor pulses when running

Oh... one more thing... the terminology of the (short-long) 1-3 business could actually mean 1 short beep and 3 long beeps as opposed to my suggesiton that it was a 1 short and 3 second long beep. I'm sure you'll figure it out from the sound of it though .

Thanks

Re: Motor pulses when running

Hey Bryocat,

From the programming file on the product page:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...X174740X28.doc

You simply do what you did... when you hear the single solid beep for battery type go to half throttle and wait for the next beep sequence. From the .doc:
4. Next you select the choice within that option, with beeps coded to say where you are, again each choice is repeated three times, and when you hear the one you want, go back to full throttle, here they are: (Short-Long)
1-1 = NiCd
1-2 = 7 cell LiPo
1-3 = 6 cell LiPo
1-4 = 5 cell LiPo
1-5 = 4 cell LiPo
1-6 = 3 cell LiPo
1-7 = 2 cell LiPo
So if you wanted 6 cell, you would wait for the short-beep plus 3 second (long) beep, and THEN go to Full Throttle.

Basically:
- get into program mode
- wait for program selection (eg. 1 beep = battery type)
- go to HT
- wait for selected program's options that you want (eg. 1-3 for 6S, etc.)
- go to FT if you want to select another program selection (timing, direction, etc.) _OR_ go to NT to exit program mode and save settings.

Per the .doc:
When done either:
A-Go full throttle to select another
B-Go low throttle to end and save and you will get a long beep,

Next startup will give 2 beeps to confirm all is OK.
I've added some highlighting to the quote above.

I don't think you need to buy a programming card, but they are worth it in my opinion. Set the jumpers/program box, plug into the ESC's throttle plug, power up the ESC, and done!

Hope this helps.
