Re: Not As Much Joy in Flying This Year

Unfortunately I have never learned moderation. Wierd thing is I am more exited about building lately and not so much flying. Maybe the endless string of arfs have taken their toll. I have 5 projects in the works and I think the kit and scratch built ones are getting me more motivated to play. Hell just thinking about them made me load a couple into the truck. I'm going flying...:

Just watched Global National and the farmers in the US have written off this year's corn crop, and the ones in the Prairie provinces can still pull in a harvest if they get a good solid rain pattern for the rest of the growing season.

Pray for rain, even if it means less flying time.

If the rain clouds stay away and the winds go down (windy as hell here again), that is what I intend to do this evening!.....maybe I can round up my young apprentice and get him in the air again too!

Yep.........been there, done that!!

Last one was I cut the nerves to my left thumb while whittling a leading edge. Multiple stitches. After a year the feeling is just starting to come back! That was the latest one. Over the years I can see at least a dozen hobby inflicted wounds on my body. Never have I spent so much money to have so much pain but I love every moment and would not trade it for the world!!

Cheers
