Re: Kingston IMAA Meet

One of our KRCM Members, Mike Grice, loves taking videos and he is pretty good at it, we think. He does a great job at editting his raw videos. While some may prefer no music (well, you can always turn the sound off!), Mike seems to find tunes that well match what he has compiled. I hope y'all enjoy this one:

P.S.: I am still awaiting the aerial photos of the big day taken by our neighbour, Art, who owns the adjacent ultralight field. When I get them, they will be posted here and a few other places.

Hi Larry; I would say that you have a good mix. I enjoyed the general shots of the pits as well - it gives a good idea of who and how many folks were there (anyone have the final tally?). An event like this is not just the flying but aa lot of work in preparation in the pits by the pilots and crews as well - it is nice to see some of the behind the scenes work. Also nice to see the volunteers on the kitchen/registration/50-50 etc. Lets give them credit too. The flying shots are fantastic though.

Keep up the good work.

Mark.

Re: Kingston IMAA Meet

Well if you show up at the IMAC event (and I'm there) this weekend & want to shoot for a while let me know. You can try out something different than what you're used to to see what you think.

3D photos from the lunch break are now on line at

I felt naked without a camera at this event but thanks again for your offer Larry... It was kinda nice to just be a pilot this time.

Thanks also for the shots of my Edge... you were the first to photograph it and it is much appreciated.

Cheers

Re: Kingston IMAA Meet

Thanks Gary. You are absolutely correct about how the volunteers make these events. Without their dedication it would be near impossible to pull off even a simple event. I think the majority of the local clubs have a group of members who for whatever reason enjoy being a part of the volunteer teams that make each event the successes they are. I also think that the majority of us realize & appreciate their work as can be seen in many of the messages here.
As for the event albums I'm ready for any suggestions on what people want to see & it's not a big deal to add more since I'll have shot way more than needed trying to get better light on the subject or a more interesting angle etc. Once they are on line at Picasa I usually upload them to Webshots too, (which has a terrible upload program & skips photos constantly during each upload). My albums get a lot of traffic there so our events are seen world wide.

Re: Kingston IMAA Meet

You have a great mix of photos, Larry, I think you have the ratio about right. Your work is amazing!

I was very pleased to see that you captured a couple photos of a few of those who worked their wings off to feed and serve the masses. We have to remember that these Events involve a lot more than may be visible at the flight line or in the sky.

One thing that I really like is the way that you have organized your album and that you keep past Events online. Even when we miss an Event, we can always check to see if Larry was skulking about with camera in hand.

Afternoon set is now available at

And it has more photos. Once I do the Noon entertainment set up I'll see what I can add to the morning set. More is pretty easy to do because it means I don't have to be so selective.
