must be a story behind all this. Like Purolater wised up and discovered they were being asked to ship risky airplane-crash-causing-lipos, LOL, so they nixed it. Also the prices Purolator was charging were crazy low - too good to be true, really, especially since they were not charging anything for brokerage. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! We are discussing Hobby King USA shipments here! They arrived from Lakeland WA to Canada tax-free and no fees. No more. But I was explaining what was and is no longer. Don't want to argue, just state what was the facts. Please read what I wrote. Thank you. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! So what you are saying is that any Purolator shipment that comes in from outside Canada ; Purolator does not do the brokerage on it... then who would? Shipments originating and destined within Canada no , they do not collect provincial sales taxes and the HST is collected by the Canadian seller at point of sale. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! Purolator had no extra fees or taxes originally. Don't know how they did it or if they will be able to again but I would not lump them in with Fedex or UPS unless they start operating that way and become an option. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! FedEx , Purolator or any courier other than postal makes it very expensive to order Batteries from HK. My last order about 3 or 4 weeks ago came to the same as ordering from Canada. The only reason I ordered from HK was that there were a few things not available over here. I would say the packaging and delivery were excellent . Ordered on a Sunday and received on the Wednesday of that week and packaging was 100% better than their postal mail packing as they have to meet the Couriers requirements and tons of paperwork enclosed. Lots of options here in Canada just check them out. LHS , Great Hobbies, Hobby Wholesale just to name a few. Check the MAAC mag advertising for others. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! Just went to order from HK, and discovered the Oregon ship option of FEDEX is a killer. Went to HK Chat line and gave my comments . Cancelled order and will find another source. I kept asking about future options and the person said they were correcting the ship option to add Purolator to Canada. Hope Joseph was correct with his information. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! The bill will show up in the mail in about 6 weeks or so with taxes and their service charge.... was $10 last year. They don't load down their delivery drivers with all the collection hassle. |

Re: Hobbyking USA Honeymooon is over - No Purolator!! I actually have found many other online businesses as a good source for RC electronics, etc., and actually better than HK. It's just a shame that some of the good stuff HK have will not be easily available to hobbyists. I guess it's just a different mind set with me. I see no reason to spend $65 for a single on board glow and more for a twin driver when I can spend $25 for either and both perform similarly. But to each his own. I just know that at the lower price I enjoyed installing OB glow on most of my models even though I didn't need it. |
