score!

I was wondering where one would actually safely fly a model aircraft on a Gulf Island, with all the low flying seaplanes there.

I didn't see so much of the anti smart meter hysteria on Saltspring myself, but we visited Hornby Island a couple years ago and my oh my oh my. Was like a civil war zone, big ugly handpainted signs threatening messages trying to scare smart meter contractors away. Like the Oka crisis in 90.

My next door neighbour even had a box put around his analog meter and a laminated signs saying stay away. And he is seemingly a smart guy, an engineer no less. But he vacations in Mexico and returned with a dark tan to find a smart meter in place, LOL.

Ok I have to admit I really don't like my new smart meter. The island cutie that used to come by to read my old meter, she doesn't come around no more

So IRF just joined in the last few days. He has posted a bunch of anti smart meter stuff. Your the dude that was pasting all the anti smart meter posters to every mail box on the island! Just Google "Anti Smart Meter campaign on Salt Spring" Nuff Said!

I was confused by Irf's plethora of info, and the gusto to which it was sent, till I saw Saltspring. Nuff said. I hear they're looking into covering the entire Island in Tin Foil! Sorry, couldn't resist. I've actually met some people on Saltspring. Others, not sure what category they fall under. . . . .

Re: Smart meters bringing down rc planes?

Yeah...Salt Spring Island is the hotbed of RF saturation. I would put on two hats.

Oh and they (analogue) may be able to live for 25 years but our BC Hydro decided they got replaced and checked every 10 years or even less. On my 3rd on 14 years but now ot's smart.

I would rather have the Rf than the rotary dialer we had attached to our gas meter in Calgary. 2Am once a month tic tic tic tic....as it phoned in the reading.
