Yes I mean big! I just measured the trays. They are 60mm X 35mm. I guess that would be a 1/4 scale servo. I figure I would just glue a new tray onto the existing rails.

I am interested in those servos.

Thanks. George

i do have a 120 version as well i'v been flying mine on standard servo for years, one servo per control suface, they work just fine. i have a Moki 1.8 you will enjoy that plane.
I have planes that come and go but the Stinger always stays.

Yours must have a 80" wingspan. mine has a 72". I think a G45 would be a bit much for mine. I've got a GMS 120 going on the nose. It should wirgh in at about 11.5 lbs so it should have decint power.

Re: Stinger 120 servos?

Curt. I got it from a kid locally. It was built by and older more experienced flyer. It was listed on Kijiji for $50. It's a little rough, but you know me. All my planes end up a little rough in the end

Thanks for the imput guys. I think I will go with the 645 I've got for the elevator and use a 144 oz HobbyKing servo for the rudder and standard servos on the ailrons

Re: Stinger 120 servos?

Where did you find that one George??

I must be a cheap a$$ because I would probably just use a 475 or 485 in that one. 15.50 each and lots of tourque on 6volt! Great servo for the price.

I have never used anything bigger in any of my Nitros (311,322,325,422,425,475,485) from the 40 size all the way up to my Ag Wagon and have never had a moments problem with any servos. But then again, I don't fly the livin' bejesus out of them either.

Cheers
Curt

Re: Stinger 120 servos?

This is another choice for elevator: http://www.hiflightrcshopping.com/ra...universal.html

Maybe use a MG servo for rudder due to the tail wheel bouncing 645mg etc

Stinger 120 servos?

So I bought a second hand Stinger. I'm sure it's a 120 size, but that's all I know. By the looks of the mounting brackets the servos in the rear were the size of a toaster. I'm going to put standad size servos in there. What kind of torque do I need on this plane for the rudder and elevator? I was thinking of using some Hitec 645s. What do you guys think? Only one servo on the elevator.

George
