He has a Futaba 7C 2.4 Gig Tx.. I have a Futaba tx here. I'll reverse the throttle and see if that makes a difference.

Re: Hextronik 36 amp esc

This is not an uncommon problem I unpacked a brand new kit and the control was dead. I hooked up an old speed control and everything worked fine. I decided to check my other speed controls and 1 out if 3 were dead also.( new in bag )

Hextronik instruction manuals:

If you cannot get it working, I recommend replacing it with a better ESC. The Hobbywing Pentium (also sold as ExceedRC Volcano, and Turnigy Plush) are good and inexpensive ESC's.

I do have a brand new 35A ESC + programming card I could sell you for $40. But honestly, if you can stand waiting 2 weeks for delivery, I would just order this one from Hobbypartz:

And this Programming card:

Re: Hextronik 36 amp esc

Hi Dennis,

I can try and offer you a few suggestions.
First re-heck the simplest things like 1) all three wires from the brushless motor are connected to the ESC. 2) Also connect a servo to the receiver and make sure it moves,
then make sure the wiring colors from the esc matches at the receiver.3) Next, no
lights or beep may indicate an " out of range situation" so try applying power to the esc
with throttle stick in A) high position , B) middle position C)low position.
4) Measure the battery with a voltmeter to see if you have at least 8 volts DC
5) Throttle channel endpoints or ATV can also have an affect on arming sometimes, so get
a buddy to recheck it with his TX in worst case

Hextronik 36 amp esc

Hi Guys:

One of the newbies in our club ordered a 36 amp Hextronik ESC from Hobby King.

When he took it out of the package and hooked it up, nothing happens. It doesn't beep, flash or do anything. It's completely dead.

Anybody ever had this happen? He doesn't want to send it back to China and have to wait forever for a replacement. Anything he can do to test it out?

Does anybody have a 35-40 amp brushless esc they want to sell?

Regards,

Dennis
