Re: prop cleaner I have used Spray 9 from Can Tire for a lot of years. Cleans bugs and tree sap off the truck and also table saw blades etc. If you need something a little stronger they have Spray 9 Marine in the boating section. Also does a great job of cleaning the black streaks off the trailer each spring.

Re: prop cleaner I buy an alkaline degreaser, for my woodworking shop (in concentrate, that you cut with water). I use it to clean the cloth sanding belts and my blades. It works awesome as a plane cleaner as well, it dissolves the bug guts and goo quickly. I use it to clean the front of my truck also. I would say any similar product (something sold for consumers, such as Fantastik) should also work. Otherwise go to an industrial cleaning supply place, ask for a jug of alkaline cleaner (I think I pay about $20/gallon) and cut it 50/50 with water. Cheap and its good for props, and just about everything else! AJC |

prop cleaner Would like to know what type of cleaner you use to clean your props.Cleaner that will not damage the finish.As you know they can become quite dirty with bugs etc. |
