Re: webra's

Hey guys... here is my one and only Webra.... a near new Speed 40 with Dynomax carb, it is installed in a GP Patriot horizontally. I ran it up the yesterday and it is a screamer!

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this engine... it did not some with one!

Re: webra's

Hey,I have a webra black head in my tiger 60 and it works great. And I have another that I think leaks fuel around the shaft.I was playing around with it when I got a satio 100.So the webra got boxed.Witch kinda sucks since I just got a new pitts style muffler for it.

[QUOTE=paulbipe;826570]Hi,

If you mount your engine so the head is pointing about 45 degree below the horizontal you will be able to run the pipe under the fuse, and that makes balancing the plane so much easier.

Okay so if I mount the engine at around 45 degrees and run the pipe down the middle I will have to convert to tail dragger gear, how will the "purists" feel about that?

Anyways great engines guys, keep em coming.

Re: webra's

I found a copy of the General Operating Instructions for two-stroke Webra model motors. A pdf file I had saved from the Webra site.
Too large to post here but if anyone wants a copy just pm me your email and I will reply a copy.

Re: webra's

Would you mind finding out about the 120? Whether or not it's for sale and perhaps how much. I have tuned a couple of these for friends and I really like the engine.

Thanks Bill

Did any one download and save the instruction manuals from the webra-austria web site before it went down?

Okay guys which would be cooler, Upright or Sideways mount?

Hi,

managed to scan the instructions, the print is quite small so you will have to enlarge it to around 200% to read it. Message me with your email addy and I will send it on to you. it is too big a file to post here.

The dynomax carb is an awesome carb once you get the hang of setting it up.

here is a pic of my Webra's. Going from left to right they are:
Speedy 10, speed 28 (well used), speed 35 (nib) my other one is on a plane, speed 55 (nib), .61 longstoke with dynamix (no longer running), 61 rear intake/rear exhaust with dynamix, and a 70 with dynamix. The pipe in the front is a webra pipe for the speedy 10.

I also know where there a a nib 120. And a buddy of mine has a gear drive 61. Neat looking engine!

Re: webra's

Oh gosh Bill, now that's immaculate! Aerofoil exhaust stack, timer arm exactly as I remember it - a beautiful example of an engine, not on a fancy stand behind glass but in a 'flesh-and-blood' 'plane!
I seem to remember the intake on mine as not flared but cut off at an angle; can't see the one on yours - but we must remember I'm harking back damn near 65 years! Lovely, easy starter - never bit me once unlike damn Drone diesel I once tried at the time!
Mine is in a sad state with chipped stack and circumcised intake and missing timer assy. but hey, I was given it recently by an old friend in Johannesburg, South Africa as a gift who sent it to me over the most circuitous route ever!!
But hey, I still love the smell of little diesels!!

Re: webra's

What's really tough is finding a Webra NIB, I'm currently looking for any of the SPEED engines that are indeed NIB. Especially the 120 speed!!

Re: webra's

Sigh.... webra 4strokes, such nice motors, once you figure them out. Had one for a few years, that and a speed 28. That motor was amazing and if I could ever get one again I would in a second. Freaking thing was insane.
