Re: Need a new 450 motor

where were you a few hours ago? LOL... i already placed an order online for it. Too late now.

Picking up a new motor at the same time anyhow as well for backup. Thanks for the offer.

I have a brand new Align 35A esc that you can have for half it's original price.

Yeah i tried everything, ESC setup was one of the first things i went through just in case even though it's not often that becomes an issue.

ESC is toast.

Long shot, but double check if there's throttle calibration required on the 'bad' ESC.. I thought I had a bum unit on my 450, but I had missed this step in the initial setup.

Seems it was the ESC. Tested a Castle on the motor and she fires up no problem. Plugged the stock align 35A back in and i couldn't even get it to spool without helping it.

Go with the 3400kv and get it in the air tomorrow (or as soon as you get the motor). I am not sure that the SEV2 will get any benifit from 12s.

I find the entire thing of going with these setups (6s in 450's) a very boring subject. It has always been nothing more than a performance chase for a heli that doesn't need it. That's my opinion and no amount of BS reasoning is going to change it, lol. Take care.

Appreciate your input. I have zero plans to run a 4s setup let alone 6s. 3s 2200mAh 50C packs do me wonders. No need for 6s.

I had a feeling the 3400 was the better choice but i was curious mainly about the lower draw rate on the other motor

Need a new 450 motor

I've no idea with the new motors out now since i've never in 6 years needed a motor replacement what motor is good to go with.

I just picked up a T-rex 450SE V2 with the 430XL. She struggles to even spool and it's not a bearing issue since it spins easily, so i'm assuming motor is shot.

Which motor would you go with?

This one is 2-4 cell, higher kv same price as the one below

2-6 cell much lower kv

These should fit on an older se v2 frame? Which would you choose? The 2-6cell motor appears better since it draws a lower amperage but i know a lot of you are pretty knowledgable with this so i'm using your opinions before i order.
