Each of those helis have their pros and cons which have been mentioned by some of the other guys. The Nano is a good starter, parts are cheap but the motors don't usually last that long. A plug n play brushless motor kit is available as a replacement which gives it a bit more power, my buddy has one.
The 300 is a nice size and flies great. Some of the stock components don't have the greatest quality. This heli likes to be upgraded so be prepared to spend a few bucks on it. Mine was flying great till I plowed it into a tree. First flight after fixing it I fly it into a tree again, poor depth perception. If I had to do it again I would get the Nano or a good used MCPX and then move to a 450 and skip the 300 size.

absolutely, more important than anything else is the sim time. Enjoy the Nano, I know I do.

I haven't had any trouble whatsoever replacing parts due to their small size as some people have described.

If I could go back in time and give myself advice on the 300x, I'd probably tell myself to get the 450 instead. The size difference is not significant, and parts would be way easier to get a hold of. My local hobby store doesn't even carry 300x parts anymore. Everything has to be ordered. And new to the hobby means dumbfingers galore. So far in three months, I have had my 300x in the air properly one time, yet I have bought, blades $12.00 , completely new servos 4x $27.00 , two stab fins 2 x $15.00 , all rear rotor parts $20.00 , main blade grips $15.00 , all due to being inexperienced and mostly settings on the beastx. Thats $185.00 in replacement parts and I don't mind the cost of the parts at all, it's the availability and waiting constantly for parts to come in. I find that I fly my Nano while I wait for parts for the 300x, fix the 300x, fly, crash, order parts, and fly the trusty Nano again till they arrive.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 300x, but I would have loved a 450 too. I figured smaller would be less expensive but it appears to me that the parts cost about the same. Either way, Welcome to the fly, replace, fly hobby. I'm loving it so far. People on this forum have been amazing and have always tried to offer helpful advice and have often pointed me in the right direction to learn learn learn.
I agree with this, I have a 450X, have had it for two years and only crashed it twice (one dumb thumb, one link broke due to wear). I probably have 300 flights on my 450X, the secret to no crashes, lots of practice on my mcpx, tried all new manouvers on my mcpx. When I could do it comfortably on my mcpx, did it on my 450X, saved me a fortune...

My nano cpx has been great....it flies just fine for what I do with it, and survives quite well if I put it into the grass.

Id ask for a refund i have yet to find someone that likes and fly's on a regular basis of any eflite smaller helis.
