Thanks Joe, it worked however I still have that alarm. I'll try to isolate it, maybe it's a servo under stress.

Re: Apprentice no throttle response

Thanks for all the quick responses, I will try your suggestions.
The plane was an ARTF and came with the TX, it was also pre-bound.

Check to see if your throttle is reversed, if it is the motor will not operate.

Re: Apprentice no throttle response

The ESC has not initialized. It only initializes when it sees low throttle.

Sometimes lowering the throttle to the bottom is not enough.
Try lowering the throttle trim as well and see if that doesn't do it.

If it still doesnt do it, your throttle channel may be reversed. Did the radio come with the TX or is it your own?
If TX is oroginal with the plane, it should be OK and only needs trim adjustment. If your own TX, you may have to reverse the throttle direction.

If neither works, you may need to calibrate your ESC. ESC calibration is not for a beginner because you can make mistakes. Let us know what happens with the above first.

Re: Apprentice no throttle response

Be sure throttle is set all the way down and tx is on when you plug in the plane, if same be sure throttle is full up when you plug in the plane. If throttle up to start and as you pull down it starts to run then your throttle needs to be reversed on the tx. There is a safety built into the esc to prevent a full throttle startup.

ELECTRIC PLANES WILL BITE YOU--DO THE ABOVE WHILE SOMEONE HAS A GOOD HOLD OF THE PLANE AND YOU ARE NOT IN FRONT OF THE PROP

Apprentice no throttle response

I have assembled my E-Flite Apprentice S 15e RTF everything works except for the motor.
When I first turn the receiver on it goes through a short start up which includes a beeping, all the servos move and the motor twitches 3 times. After that I can move all the servos but the motor will not run. There is what sounds like an alarm that starts when I turn on the receiver and only stops when I initially pull the throttle back slightly but after a couple of seconds it continues to sound.
I've adjusted the throttle trim to it's full extent in both directions with no luck.
This is my first plane and I would very much appreciate any and all input.
