The airplane belongs to the host John Schroder. He loaned it to one of the competitors from Porto Rico who had his plane shipped to a fellow competitor in South Carolina who was suposed to bring it to CC with him but had to cancel at last moment due to tragedy in the family.

They could not get the plane to CC in time so John let him fly his airplane.

When it went through the beens it actuall stripped some of the covering off and dented the LE a bit. The pilot fixed it back to new that night. John's comment was "Well it does have a John Deere scheme so it's use to beeing in the crops."

The field is unbelieveable as is the whole property.

John & Tina Schroder are uber hosts. They even opened their property to any IMAC pilot that wanted to make the trek down during the American Thanksgiving. They even through the Thaksgiving dinner.

It's a 19 hour drive from Toronto but well worth it.

Just incase you can't make out the amounts in the last picture thats:

1st Place = $20,000.00
2nd Place = $ 7,000.00
3rd Place = $ 5,000.00

Oh that and ALL the other prize money comes directly out of John's pocket. The entrance fees cover the cost of running the contest and of course there are a tonne of donated prizes from various suppliers for the Pilot's draw.

Looks like I'm going to have to put in some major practice time. I'd love to make it to Clover Creek someday! What a gorgeous field! Looks like a fairway!

Ditto on that pancake! Ouch!!! The plane dropping behind the hedge was pretty crazy too!
