Re: Da 35?

Didn't say a poor design. Just don't have near the power of today's 35's and even fell short of a standard DLE 30 in power. They have less torque and Luke to run at a higher rpm hense the smaller prop. They were getting popular with guys putting them in pattern planes with a pipe.

There have also been more threads that I can remember about people having a very hard time getting ahold of him as well as paying for an engine and then not seeing it for months. He is basically a one man show so a person needs to be aware that sometimes it may take a long time to get an engine or parts.

Hmmm, interesting. They arrived on the scene with great reviews and were highly thought of - initially.

This is the first that I have heard of any low power issues - has anyone found a fix or is it just considered a poor design?

Re: Da 35?

Nice!

I am impressed with all of the hype and reports on the DA 35!

However; there is another great US 30cc engine out there that is being forgotten... the Syssa 30cc!

I bought one last year for a current project (yet to be completed) but all reviews make it out to be a Superb Engine!

Why has no one done a comparison between the DA & the Syssa yet?

Things that make you go ... Hmmmmm...

Re: Da 35?

I just received mine in the mail yesterday ignition is a new design 3 magnets on the hub assuming for better transition i haven't decided on a pro r/c hype can or pipe yet! but check out this thread for more info! this engine on a es pipe is hauling a 83" extreme flight mxs=r plane around like a rag doll
